Watch Auburn players thank fans, celebrate win over Vanderbilt in ‘complete stadium takeover’

Auburn wasn’t alone in Nashville on Saturday night when facing Vanderbilt.

The Auburn fans were out in force, and the Tigers made sure to thank their fans and celebrate with them after the 31-15 SEC win over the Commodores.

“Complete stadium takeover,” Auburn’s Keionte Scott posted. “We love you, Auburn family.”

Jarquez Hunter ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter, and Auburn never trailed to earn the team’s second straight win.

Auburn (5-4, 2-4 SEC) now had lost four straight prior to the two wins.

Hunter finished with a career-high 183 yards rushing on 19 carries.

Payton Thorne threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns, including a 53-yarder to Rivaldo Fairweather. Auburn outgained Vandy 424-266, and the Tigers also had five sacks and Nehemiah Pritchett’s interception with 1:50 left sealed the win.
